I am a storyteller, speaker, and educator whose work bridges corporate settings, the arts, and community life.

With a passion for folktales and a belief that everyone should know at least one good story, he brings narrative practice into classrooms, conferences, and local arts spaces to help people listen, connect, and make meaning together. My corporate, academic, and creative works are grounded in the idea that stories are essential tools for navigating complex socio-technical worlds, building shared understanding, and fostering collaborative communities.

Before I ventured down this path, I found myself navigating a craft brewery through a global pandemic.

When my grandfather passed away during the pandemic, I took over as the general manager of his brewery, navigating the business through volatility and uncertainty. Fortunately there were great people behind me – an excellent team – and we were able to keep the lights on and everyone employed. It was during this time that I first discovered storytelling, taking it up as a hobby. While the brewery was the opportunity of a life time, my passion was in education. After five years at the brewery, I left it in good hands to pursue graduate studies in engineering education. At the same time, I continued my exploration into storytelling under the guidance of master storytellers Dan Yashinsky and Mariella Bertelli, honing my craft.

Through my passion for teaching, research in professional education, and exploration into storytelling; I discovered the power of story.

My keynotes and workshops are rooted in literature and my research. From which I saw how story works through feeling, listening, and thinking to help people understand problems, and think more holistically. Storytelling was not just a skill to be learned, but something that actively shapes our daily lives. Once we are aware of it, we can see people, and how we approach problems, differently. Focusing on why story works, how story works, and techniques to be a better storyteller.

My storytelling is firmly rooted in the oral tradition, passing on stories of entertainment, wisdom, and everything in between. From this practice, I understood how stories transmit understanding, shape our cultures, and who we are. That it is an egalitarian art form that is our collective heritage, belonging to all of us. And through listening to the stories of others, we can know each other better.

Now I walk between worlds of performance, speaking, and teaching.

Using my interdisciplinary identities I create memorable experiences that bring people together from diverse walks of life. Enabling them to listen deeper, share knowledge, and build community.
